Bible Roots
Privacy policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Bible Roots is made by BrownDev LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account information. If you sign in, we receive your email address and name from Google Sign-In or the email address you register with. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.
- Reading progress. Chapters you mark read, streaks, reading plans, bookmarks, your display name, and group challenge membership are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so your progress can be restored when you sign in on another device.
- Purchases. Optional tips are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't collect your precise location, contacts, or photos.
Using the app without an account
You can use Bible Roots without signing in. In that case your reading progress is stored only on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Group challenges
If you join a group challenge, other members of that challenge can see your display name and your progress within that challenge (for example, chapters completed). Leaving a challenge removes you from its member list.
Data deletion
Signing out removes your progress from the device. To delete your account and all synced data, contact us at admin@browndev.net and we will remove it.
Children
Bible Roots is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above.
